Hi. I am an amateur golf player and have been playing since I was nine years old. I love golf, it has been my hobby and passion since then. Golf is in my blood and in my family. I began playing with my brother. Eventually, my father, who was bored waiting for us while we were in the course, began to play. Eventually, my mother did the same. My father was affiliated to a golf club, so we spent the whole weekend playing golf.
I’m the kind of player that when I’m playing in a round, I’m thinking in my next one and waiting impatiently for it. I can talk golf the whole week in a way that my non golfer friends hate me. My ideal vacation is to play every time that I can or go to a golf resort paradise.
I am a lawyer but I always try to do something related to golf and a blog is a good way to start.
My lowest handicap was -4 but it doesn’t reflect my level of knowledge. I’ve been reading and watching golf videos all my life. Golf is something I can teach.
There have been periods where my golf was so terrible hence I felt very frustrated, but I’ve always found a way to come back, to play another round, and continue.
In order to learn how to play I took lots of classes and spent hours in the driving range. Besides, I taught myself using the knowledge acquired in classes and during my years of practice. But, believe me, the fastest and the best way to learn this passionate sport is if someone helps you.
Golf is not easy. If you don’t have the right tools and dedication, for sure, you are not going to succeed. I learned the hard way. There were periods when my golf was a disaster and either for pride, selfishness, or whatever reason that came up I refused to accept help. But the truth is that if I had accepted some help or heard just a little advice, I would have quickly corrected that frustrating mistake.
As a player I know how passionate and challenging golf can be, both physically and mentally. Golf is very complicated but most of the mistakes that golfers make are mental not technical.
I will share my experience and knowledge of golf to help other players enjoying and improving their games. Personally I enjoy teaching golf. One of the aspects that I love of golf is that you never stop learning and improving the game. You always have the opportunity to learn something new, to implement a new technique, a new shot, or a new trick.
Learn from people that have the right knowledge. Plenty of folks think that they know about golf. They will try to teach you. But be careful with them, they can damage your golf so badly that you will need to spend time correcting your swing or a bad move.
Feel free to share your stories!
Golfers are always thinking of golf! Dream with golf! It is a lifestyle.
I will also write about lots of golf topics, like clubs, courses, rules, tournaments, and news.
Enjoy.
