Golf Wasp

At the beginning, golf can be very challenging.

Practically almost all new golfers are eager to arrive at the golf course without having enough knowledge to play.

I can understand that you want to take the clubs and play, of course, is your new passion!

Here you have some tips:

Take lessons (video your lessons). My game greatly improved when I took lessons and more while my swing was recorded. In that way, I could see the mistakes.

One thing is to hear and try to understand what the teacher says and another is to see the errors.

Don’t make the mistake of trying to learn by yourself. You could end up having a bad movement in your swing which will be very difficult to correct. I have seen golfers wasting a lot of time because of that.

Go to the driving range and practice. The more you practice, the more your game will improve.

Practice what you learned in your classes in the driving range before your first round (or any round). Your brain and body need time to digest the changes.

Use cavity-clubs. Blade clubs could be difficult to hit.

Buy used golf balls. You’re going to lose lots of balls and that could be a hole in your wallet.

Don’t forget to get a cap (I love caps with magnet markers).

Practice the short game and putting. Usually, beginners only concentrate on the long game and forget the short. Big mistake! The short game is as important as the long or more. (Read my posts of putting, chip, and approach)

Enjoy. Relax. At the beginning, you are going to fail a lot!
